ABC-7′s Linda Carson was one of this year’s “Eight Over 80″ honorees.  The awards were presented March 10th at Michael’s On East. The Suncoast View talk show host and community icon was honored by Aviva for her volunteerism and impact on the Sarasota community. In addition to a broadcasting career spanning more than six decades, Carson was noted for her volunteer work for Tidewell Hospice, serving on the board of the Circus Arts Conservatory, and heading up the “Bud Carson Scholarship Award,” named for her late husband.
