Cherishing the Arts

On-campus or off-campus, you will find numerous ways to feed your creative spirit when you begin your next adventure at Aviva.

Many of our residents come from creative backgrounds themselves, or are longtime patrons of the arts. Many remain involved in volunteerism and philanthropy. They bring their lifelong experiences with the arts to Aviva, here on the “cultural coast.”

Arts & Culture at Aviva

Music, art, dance, theatre, literature and more are shown to enhance health and memory in older adults — and they make life more enjoyable!

Our Kretzmer Center is a hub for the local community, where we offer a variety of opportunities to feel inspired each and every day, such as:

  • Lecture series
  • Writers’ workshops
  • Concert series
  • Art exhibits
  • Drama club
  • Painting classes

In addition, Aviva regularly welcomes locally and globally renowned artists onto our campus — from children’s choirs to the Sarasota Orchestra — to perform for our residents and their guests.

You will find plenty of opportunities to meet others who share your passion for culture.

What Our Residents Are Saying

Aviva is a friendly and gorgeous place for my friends and I to call home!

Fay SchlenderResident

So many classes and activities are initiated and presented by residents with the help of our fabulous Aviva Life Enrichment staff. It is this personal involvement and enthusiasm of the residents as we share our experiences to teach and learn about our differences and commonalities that set us apart from other communities.
