What Our Residents Are Saying

Aviva is a friendly and gorgeous place for my friends and I to call home!

Fay SchlenderResident

So many classes and activities are initiated and presented by residents with the help of our fabulous Aviva Life Enrichment staff. It is this personal involvement and enthusiasm of the residents as we share our experiences to teach and learn about our differences and commonalities that set us apart from other communities.

I would rate Aviva Senior Living a 5 all the way! Matt took me around and explained everything to me. The property is almost 30 acres, so it has beautiful grounds with ponds, fountains, and a swimming pool. It has so much green space. They will accept pets, and that they can take them around the whole campus since they have very secure walkways. The independent living has choices of one-bedroom, one bath with kitchen (a full kitchen), and a two-bedroom. If you must move to assisted living, you can stay in the same complex. The cleanliness was good. There wasn't anything out of place, and I went there actually unexpectedly. I just went in their door to find out if they would do tours, then the receptionist said, "Well, since you're here, Matt is available today. Would you like to speak to him?" He followed up with me ever since then, but he never put any pressure on me to decide.

My Mom, Dorothy Evans, was with Aviva Benderson in November. Mom is back to riding her bike up her street and her doctor’s about to clear her to ride her bike as much as she wants! I want to thank everyone for their attentiveness and for the fantastic care and therapy that got Mom back on her bicycle.

I just wanted to let you know that things went better than we could have imagined. My wife and I spent the weekend getting my dad’s room all set up. Your staff is just wonderful. Every single person we met made us feel like my dad is going to do so well here. Everyone cares and that kind of universal culture only comes if it’s driven from the top down. I cannot tell you how we relieved we are that my pop is in a place where he’ll be taken care of so well. We dropped off dad yesterday morning. Debbie set up a lunch “date” with a resident, Jack, whom she thought would be a nice person to get him integrated into the “family”. It was a great call. We slipped out while they ate but not before sneaking a peak at their table and seeing everyone happily engaged like new friends. We followed Debbie to her office, pausing at the door to hug, cry (okay that was just me) and let out a huge sigh of relief. My mom said that she could finally breathe again. You guys are a blessing, and we could not be more happy or comfortable with the thought of dad under your care.
